2009 Scheel's Pond Hockey Festival

It's official! The 2009 Scheel's Pond Hockey Festival will be held Dec. 31 10:00am - 4:05pm. The pond hockey tournament will take place on the east side of the Urban Plains Center. Registration for the pond hockey tournament opens next week with 64 teams available.

How is this going to work? Is there age limit split ups? We just have to hope it gets cold enough.

There will be 4 different age groups. 13 and under, 14-20, 21-35, and 35 and up. Maximum of 6 people on each team, 3 on 3 hockey, and 25 minute games.

Is this co-ed? How much does it cost??

It is co-ed as far as I know and it costs $100 for each team (6 players) and that includes 6 tickets to the Force game later that night. Check out the link at http://www.fargoforce.com/viewNews.php?s=56

Where can people watch this event from n where is parking available at.

Parking available at the arena parking lots and I believe you can watch from just outside of the playing area all around the rink. Might be chilly and I don't think they will have bleachers or anything...just standing around a cold pond outside!
